Fever Cage – Full Spoiler Recap
At Black Mountain Asylum we are introduced to Erin White. A psych intern desperate to secure a permanent work position. She realizes to do so she must accept her sleazy directors’ advances or evaluate the asylum’s most dangerous patient, she chooses the latter.
After a spicy encounter with said patient, Dr. Victor Lorenz, Erin makes the bold move to bust into the Asylums board meeting and present an irresistible offer. She will become Victor’s guardian at a private estate, eliminating the asylums high-cost care of him and liability, while also giving her a major opportunity to secure her job. They quickly accept.
The “private residence” ends up being Victor’s home and the “guardian” quickly becomes the patient. Victor is an artist (doctor) and Erin is his masterpiece (beloved patient), unbeknownst to her. Through a traumatic lock in he helps her face her trauma and heal from it. The next day Erin has an encounter with Victor’s previous failed project/patient Isabella (also the daughter of the asylum’s owner Sam Saville) Erin is left insecure and unnerved about Victor’s feelings and intentions.
Overcoming an urge to revert back to her self-harming way, she instead goes to Victor, and they share a passion filled night together. The sweet bubble is short-lived as the next day at work she’s presented photos of their time together. Given an impossible set of options from the board, she opts for the one that does not falsely accuse Victor of abuse and loses her job.
On her way out the ever-present Isabella has shown up again, this time with a ploy to show Erin Victor’s “true intentions” at an establishment called “Fever Cage”. Whilst there Isabella fills Erins head with stories of Victor being an auctioneer of all the Art (patients) he treated. Claiming after treatment he sells them off at an auction. Despite her initial disbelief she finds herself riddled with doubt.
At home Erin presses Victor for answers, which is met with him telling her to kill him if she truly believed he would do that. Sick and tired of everything Erin storms out. Shortly after she receives a call from her abusive stepfather informing her that he is skipping town to escape loan sharks and if she wants her deceased mother’s belongings, she will have to quickly meet him to acquire them.
Unsurprisingly it turns out to be a ploy to trade her off to the loan-sharks. Fortunately for Erin Victor swoops in and saves the day (whoops everyone’s ass and breaks Mr. Step daddy’s leg). At home they make some more sexy amends and Victor explains that Erin allowing the words of a worthless person to get to her was a flaw that had to be corrected i.e. not telling her the truth right away.
The next day Sam Sullivan calls her and they meet. He alludes that Victor was set up and the way to help him is to look for evidence in Victor’s former research facility. Once there she discovers a file on “Project Pygmalion”, an awful project exploiting and selling traumatized women as part of their “treatment”. Believing the worst Erin has a break down and seeing the opportunity the warden and her stepfather forcibly commit her.
While there, after being subjected to numbing meds and electrotherapy, Erin plays prey faking compliance all the while gathering evidence from a former Pygmalion patient Lilith. Across town Victor has been kidnapped by Isabella who wants him at all costs. He very quickly escapes and recruits a reporter to livestream all the real dirt on Sullivan at the upcoming hearing for Erin. They do so and it’s uncovered that Victor was innocent all along and only trying to help his patients.
The corrupt Isabella, Sam, and the Warden are hauled off to jail. For the conclusion Victor surrenders his Artist title and submits to his Masterpiece/Guardian (Erin) for life.

In the vertical world I feel this one is untouched (for now). It truly felt like a movie with the amazing editing, acting, scenery, and complex story line. Overall I especially loved that it didnt rely on excessive violence to keep things interesting. Let me know what yall think of this one in the comments! Also stay tuned for more updates to the site.
